In 1907, sculptor Augustus Saint-Gaudens created two classic U.S. gold coins – a $20 gold coin and the “forgotten” $10 Indian Head gold coin. The high-relief $10 Indian Head features a magnificent image of Liberty wearing an Indian headdress, as well as 48 raised stars on the edge to represent the 48 states. This is one of the most beautiful and artistic coins in American history, but mintages were small and most coins were melted by the U.S. government in 1933. Because it’s often “forgotten” in favor of the $20 gold coin, the scarce $10 Indian head gold coin is affordably priced. But order now, before our limited supply disappears!
