In 1829, Andrew Jackson became America’s seventh President. During his term in office, America rapidly expanded westward towards the Mississippi River. As President, Jackson was responsible for granting land for settlement and development in the untamed frontier. The land was allocated through official land grants, each of which was personally signed by the President. These two land grants are among the rare few that have survived intact with Jackson’s full signature. They are truly rare documents that provide an extraordinary window into American history in the early 1830’s. Each stunning document is professionally mounted and framed.
