In 1983, the U.S. Mint introduced the revolutionary Prestige Proof Set. In addition to all the year’s regular Proof coins, the Prestige Proof Set also includes a commemorative Silver Dollar Proof – and in some years, it also includes a commemorative Half Dollar Proof. These were the rarest Proof Sets issued during the year, and many are almost impossible to find today. The series came to an end in 1997, and now you can own the complete collection… from the first in 1983 to the last in 1997!
