Philip N. Diehl was U.S. Mint Director when the historic State Quarters series started in 1999. In 2005 he agreed to personally autograph a limited edition of only 200 State Quarter Proof Sets from 1999 to 2005. Each coin is certified and graded in matching Proof-69 Deep Cameo condition, and each year’s Proof Set is enclosed in a single sealed holder with Diehl’s autograph. Only a few collections remain from the original 200 collections.
